Social Security - Same Old Story, Same Old Song

Dear readers this is so ridiculous you may not believe it at first due to the ridiculous nature.

I have in my possession an old news magainze from 1937 called Real America. Within this issue there are articles regarding Prohibition, Clipper Ships (airplanes), Our Horse and Buggy Traction System, and several articles on crooked politicians and government promises.

This song may have a different tempo these days but the media and the issues are the same now as they were then. REALLY??? Yes, really.

An excerpt from section titled, For A Better America, states, "Social Security: Those who have examined critically the Social Security Act find it as full of flaw as a wormy apple, but it's a start in the right direction. It must be ammended and perfected, and it will be. The thing for us to remember is that the right for those who do the work of America to look forward to a secure old age has been admitted by our government, and that effort is being made to guarantee this security."

Does this sound familiar to anyone else but me?
