This day was an icy day here in Fort Worth, TX. My Carolina Jasmine was confused and begun to bloom in October then again in January. Now, here it is with ice glistening in the moonlight, eh hem flash, with yellow blossoms. It looks like water drops but those are tear dropped shaped icicles.

This is a meme and if you want to participate you certainly may! Please feel free to join in or just read along with me. You do not have to write a long post as to what the name means or even the history of it. Sometimes His names just simply speaks for itself and does not need our flavor added to it.

Remember the fall of the Tower of Babel, me neither, but I sure have read about it! Those fellas thought they would make a name for themselves and they would be known all around the world. Well God stepped in, as always, and told them NO, it is about Him and His name. His breath even gives life, who is anyone to think they can accomplish anything without Him? ---especially in their own name!

So, why am I doing this? I love to study the names of God and I love to know what He is to others as well. Not in the sense of "another god" but how our Mighty God shows himself!
Proverbs 14:12 tells us that each man has a path before them, it seems right but the end is death...remember Jesus is the Path, John 14:6! It is all about His Name, the Sweetest Name of All. ANNOUNCEMENT!!!!

My hubby read my blog and well, he is bringing in the boxes for me to dismantle the tree!! woo hoo! But it is a little sad, I was cutting out red hearts to hang on it....NOT!! ha ha!

Well seriously, he googled me, HA, and found my blog by way of Facebook. That is too funny!!!

Well go check out my other blog and give me a name of God as I still need to write one today. :-) I think I am nearly there!!

And you can pray for me as I batton down the hatches, memorize a verse or two, and prepare for another season. :-) My memory verse is this:

Day 11: Oh my just look at it, with my face red!


Have you ever been so sick for a few weeks and so busy too that somethings just did not happen as normal????


Well take a gander at the picture from yesterday...Day 11. The Tree is Still up.
Ok, I edited this image but you can't really read what I put on it. If you click on it a new window should pop up. There are ornaments I made as a child with my babies first Christmas ornaments as well a golf bag and some from my sister and her Mini-Me, brown eyes and little bit.
I have been sick, then he was sick, then I was sick again, then he got a migraine! So the box, which I can't lift on my own is still put up and the tree remains. Perhaps if I leave it up a little longer I can put hearts on it for Valentines Day!!!
One rule here friends....don't judge me, just love me and accept my reasons, eh hem excuses.

This is my dog...Rufus...he is afraid of camera's so is my beagle, Jenny. Poor animals! I guess I had taken one to many pictures before and the flash send him into shivers!


I swear to get the picture pic of my two (current - tee hee) dogs I would need a Go-Go- Gadget Super Speed Camera!

Dawn is hosting a fun time at her blog, Dawn's Diversions, and bringing us back to days of old using Sesame Street in her post Come and Play, Everything's A-Okay!

So, she has assigned me the letter "R"....hmmm, she did not know my real name is Rachele!!! (that is ruh-shell) not roo but ruh and is in duh. lol!! Ok, enough of my name.





My memories do include Sesame Street, but they also include the "Letter People". Please allow me to instroduce Mister R. He was first attributed with "Ripping Rubberbands" but he was later changed to "Rainbows and Ribbons".


I had so many ideas on the way home today and luckily I have a digital voice recorder on my iPhone and I used it! My brain and I began to storm and storm we did!





Ok, God gave this to me and I must share it.

REALIZE the REASON you need to be RESCUED. God will REVEAL your sin and you will REPENT and RECEIVE the one sent toREDEEM you. Because of HIS RESSURECTION HE will make you that is unclean RIGHTEOUS in His Father's sight. Our God REIGNS!!!!!
I have more letters from earlier today because I had some time on my hands in my car.
R words were coming at me right (lol) and left! So, here are 10 "R" words using only 4 letters.

Great 8!

Chere' at A Day in the Life made a list of 8 greats from 2008 and wanted to hear from others. So I thought instead of a simple comment which I will leave, it sounded like a great thing to do...Make a List of 8 greats of 2008.






Now me and my silly mind went "Grape Ape, Grape Ape" so this is my Great8!Ok enough silliness here is my list....

8. Got my braces off!!! Yeah, my teeth fit! I had a cross bite that was not very visible but my teeth did not fit when I would close my mouth. The braces aligned my teeth and fixed my overbite which was near to the border of disorder! I was grinding my teeth and not for the fun of it.

7. I started back to college at LeTourneau University with the full support of my family. I did not start school after high school but I began at Eastern Arizona in Thatcher, AZ. I took a handful of classes and moved on with my life. After much prayer and the promise of support I pursued enrollment at LeTourneau University. During the phone interview with the admissions counselor I was so tickled when she asked if taking the required Bible classes would be a problem. I gladly answered "bring IT on!". I thought she would never ask. Praise God for Christ Centered Schools! I love LeTourneau!

6. I attended a Roaring Lambs Christian Writers Conference...should have been called a retreat. I was witness to some powerful healing in a family - the Key Note Speaker's family!!!

5. Blessed in February by musical group that is new to me: The McRae's and I love reading the blog by Annie McRae. (same link btw) This power little lady, Annie, wrote most of the songs. She and Amanda were a true blessing at Macedonia Baptist Church. I can't wait to attend Feminar this year there again. Janet White is wonderful and this year Point of Grace is coming back!

4. Started a new job, same field (insurance), and our ladies ministry is about to be 6 years old!

3. My cousin and his son were reunited in relationship. Long story! What a mighty God we serve!

2. My cousin (a different one) walked away from drugs accepted Christ! And he is a literal sponge in the word! He can't get enough!! And he sings too!

1. Saw the shackles of sin and bondage drop in my home.

Praise God He truly showed up in 2008!

Day 5: Project 365



This is my daughter. She was a cheerleader for a few years and gave it up for golf. I am certain you will see photos of her as well as my son on the course soon. It was her third attempt to stay up with both feet together. She was walking on her hands and had started at the doorway!!


I know!!!




She has always entertained us and stirs up a room with laughter and joy.


btw, she will like this picture she looks tall this...she is so not tall. lol

I am so proud of my family. We spent time together and everyone lived!! lol, No, seriously, we had fun and I know Nana is very proud of her pictures. I wanted to share this one with you because it did turn out nice!

Day 3 Project 365: Wii Have Fun

I have decided to get snappy with a bunch of other blogger friends and do some shooting, with a camera that is.





This is son beating father at the Wii fishing! The look of joy on his face is priceless, as well as the look on dad's face in the background. We have not been much for video games in this house; my kids take them or leave them.



We got the Wii for Christmas and we have had great family fun. I actually have said, "Weeee.".


Seriously, we have watched less television and enjoyed family entertainment all the way!!!


I missed the shot of the Wii Rockband rock out earlier, another time another photograph!

Happy New Year!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just wanted to drop a quick line and tell everyone (all 6 of you - :-) ) that I appreciate you and I am praying that you have a wonderful and blessed 2009. 2008 held a lot for me and I am still chewing on the last thing I bit off, lol. But I am winding down.

College: Last class literally captured me in the evenings.

Work: Has been extremely busy and will continue for another 30 days.

Family: We have a year of Jubilee from captivity!! Praise God. The trail is a tough one but survival guide is Merciful!

Ministry: Going to get busier and directions have been made clear.

Church: Growing and going! I love to be able to say that! God has truly blessed us.

Blogging: I have met some wonderful people and I look forward to meeting more.

There are many areas I feel like an odd puzzle piece in the box with others who fit perfectly, but God is showing me much through that in each area of my life.

We are adding a precious addition to our family of the furry sort, I will give you all updates soon!!!

God Bless you all and may this New Year be Jubilant for you too!
