Security and God's Presence!!!

O'Where O'Where is My Security?

Not Here, Not There, Not Anywhere but in His Kingdom Alone.
Not in man but the nail scarred hands.
Not in friends but in the One whose love never ends.
Not in the fun but in the Righteous One.
Not in the mirror but in the Pruner and the Shearer.
Not in fame but only in HIS Holy Name.
Not in power but in the One who knows the Hour.
Not in this life but in the Creator of the day and night.
Not in anyone but in the One who sent His only Son.

God is our only security and it was secured by His One and Only Son! He is our Rock, our Deliverer, the Conqueror, the Lover of Our Soul, our Home, our Help. Look no further tarry no more, Jesus is "in" the "security" business! He will give us our portion! Daily dependence is the path to true security!

GOD IS THERE!

In the heights and the darkest of nights,
God is there!
In the depths of the sea when all in you longs to flee,
God is there!
In the heart of the broken, when wrong words have been spoken,
God is there!
In the brightness of the day when you still can't find your way,
God is there!
In the pits, In the caves, when tossed about by the waves,
God is there!
In the chaos & despair, when it seems that no one cares,
God is there!
In the busyness, in the peace, when no dew is left on the fleece,
God is there!
In the rocks, On the shore, when you are sure you can take no more,
God is there!
He was always there and remain forever and unchanged!
God is there!

This poem came to me during the Feminar in Longview, TX as Janet White was speaking. I have lived under a proverbial broom tree (1 Kings 19) for nearly two years. I have stood at the edge of my driveway begging for the Lord to just take me home. I have sat on the floor in my kitchen wishing and wishing that God would bring me home. It's not my time and the work He has started is not finished and has just barely begun. God sat with me on that cold hard floor, He has written His word on my heart when I felt I could take no more. He has held up my arms when I felt that I could tread no more waves! He has been the light in my darkest nights among the darkest caves. He has molded me and shaped me swaddled me and bathed me, came for me and saved me! He has always been there!

I pray that as you read, if you choose, 1 Kings 19 you see what I finally saw today...God told Elijah to get up and go back to anoint others. God told him that he would be with him and there was work yet to be done. Elijah was not alone, neither am I, neither are YOU! God is THERE! HE IS HERE!

Weak of the Heart!

This week I will be posting about the Weak of the Heart. Our hearts are desperate and that is true, the Lord warns us and advises us so that we are knowledgeable of this. I don't know about you but I have struggled with "perfection" well, actually the infection of perfection my entire life as many women have. We seek approval, we seek respect, we seek admiration, we seek relationships, you get the picture....We Seek!

We become trapped in our idea of the perfect life even in our Christian walk. We are told to love, but when is it perfect? We are told to forgive, but how much? We are told to live, but will we ever be good enough?

Christ's perfect life and heart compels us to live as He did and strive to be more like Him. But see this is where it becomes cloudy for many of us. We want to be just like Him so badly that we often end up behaving badly in our stride for perfection. Thus we end up with the Infection of Perfection and we reveal the weakness of our hearts that Jeremiah 17:9 tells us about.
The human heart is the most deceitful of all things, and desperately wicked. Who really knows how bad it is? Jeremiah 17:9 (NLT)

Our own deceit is our own worst enemy! We tell ourselves that we CAN BE PERFECT. No, nope, nada, no-way, this is not going to happen, not on our watch. And the cool part about it is that it is really ok! It's OK with Our Lord, Our Father, Our Creator! Of all we know HE loves us just as we are! He adores us! He left glory FOR US. It's ok to be imperfect, ok to fail, ok that we are deceitful because there was ONE that wasn't!! I want to share with you this week some of the weak spots of my heart that the Lord has lovingly looked down upon me, saw them and still said, "I love you. I'm proud of you, afterall, I sent my Son, my ONLY SON, to die for you."

Then He put on my heart the true theme for my week of the weak, He desires my DEVOTION NOT HUMAN PERFECTION! Here is a little poem the Lord put on my heart for today and I pray it touches you, leads you, guides you, and allows you to see HIM who can heal you!

A Perfect Heart

A perfect heart, cannot a woman make, only one that is broken and devoted all for HIS sake.

A perfect heart, cannot a woman gain, only one that is yielded and void of disdain.

A perfect heart, cannot a woman give, only that listens when He says live.

A perfect heart, cannot a woman mold, only one that is given to the Father to hold.

A perfect heart, cannot a woman steal, only one that is pliable to His will.

A perfect heart, cannot a man demand, only one that is surrendered to the Lord’s hand.

From the Manger to a Mansion

Simeon was a man that patiently awaited the birth of his Salvation.
The Lord promised he would not see eternal sleep until hs savior he would meet.
Salvation came to earth as a babe and in a manger He would lay.
None could be bothered there was no room to spare, a man placed them in his stable and gave not another care.
As word traveled to lands very far shepherds and kings would faithfully follw a star.
This star would lead them to a new born kin, one who would rise and rule everything.
How it must have been to their surprie to find this king was a carpenter's son.
How would this lowly Jew ever rule anyone?
Their faith had lead them here thus far, and it was great lengths they had traveled following that star.
The journey was long but their praise must be paid to a king who once in a manger laid.

I tell you today, be sure that you know, the trade of Jesus was no oversight. He came, He lived, He worked, He prayed to be certain He pointed toward Heavenly light. He went to prepare a place for us in Heaven above now let us rejoice as Simeon has in the one whose name fits like a glove.

What Kind of Legacy?

What kind of legacy will you leave, to what will your children see you cleave?
Do you cling to the eternal the Heavenly Father above, or do you wander aimlessly in search of an earthly love?
Do you seek Him out to be your strength and your shield? Or do you run through all the stops with a failure to yield?
Do you find yourself alone and out of place? When was the last time you sought out His face?
How are your knees these days? Do they bend and bow to your own will and ways?
Or do you bow to your Father, Healer, your Keeper? Do you ask for help or simply grow weaker?
To which direction when lost do you look? Have you thought that the compass may be found in the Book?
A book of His Laws, His Word, and His Ways, His Word has the Power to cut through the haze!
To secure you and keep you until He returns for His Bride, Will you walk right beside Him or find a place to hide?
Do you know He is forever a faithful, fearless friend? He is your Savior, your Guide, your Redeemer Amen!

This was on my heart today as I sit among the noise both outside and inside of me. When the bank account runs low will my faith also go? Will I sit and watch as life passes by or will I cry out and go on faith without blinking an eye? The days are growing shorter and the troubles of this life keep us focuses on what is temporary instead of living with the end in mind. If I truly want for it "to be on earth as it is in Heaven", then why would I worry and fret? Am I concerned with what is now only a moment in time or do I store up my treasures in Heaven to abide?

What are you dealing with today? Do you have need of prayer? Do you need an ear? Feel free to leave me a prayer request, if you do not want it published then please tell me so.

Dear Heavenly Father,
Please take all our cares and worries to keep sin from reigning in our lives. Assure us and reassure us again that you ARE here you ARE presesnt and you ARE active in our lives. Help us to be a living sacrifice knowing that eternity is at stake in so many lives. Amen

Love, Chel

John 3:16, "Who Do You See?"

“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).

I do love this word from the Lord so intensely. Not only did he rescue me from the clutches of death but He also welcomed me after I thought I could do this all on my own. When I, in my rebellion, thought I could ignore His voice - Oh praise be to HIM that He did not leave me to my own devices - but by ignoring His voice I had actually said, "Oh but Lord it is best to learn from experience...and how do I know things are good or bad for me unless I try it."

What ignorance! But thank the LORD, Oh What a Savior!

He astonishes me. This love (agapao) beyond all understanding and without limits is expressed to someone like me, sinful, broken, putrid, and hideous. Yet He loved me and all of us so much that He committed His one and only son to be our sacrifice, bestowing Jesus to us.

I looked up a lot of the words found in John 3:16 in Greek via Strongs, and interpreted this summary:

"Indeed, God loved His creation beyond compare in such a way insomuch He supplied His one and only son in order that each and everyone would put full confidence into Him so they will not be destroyed or rendered useless instead giving the exception to the possession of a full active vigorous life wholly devoted to God without end. "

I don't know about you but that blew me away! Our need, His supply so we will not be useless!!!!

How can we have the full active life without end if we do not first put our trust in HIM?

All because He first loved us! I am speechless and breathless.

It reminded me of a poem I wrote in 2003 titled:

Who Do You See
O' woman who do you see, for when you look in the mirror you do not see thee!
You view through a filter, a perfecting lens, you are far too blind to see your own sins!
Do you not know that sin will cause your heart to break?
And it will be the very heart of Christ you will forsake.
By driving a wedge in your life you will be destroyed from within,
You must now relinquish yourself so that Christ may come in.
By going on your own way you will not be useful,
While still denying His gifts with your refusal.
For the life you are living is the very life that God ordained
Now may the life you live Reflect His Holy Name!
