Welcome to the Abiding Branch. I am Rachele Posey (like the "u" in Russia and shell....Rushell) but have gone by the nickname Chel (shell) for most of my life. At the young age of 5, I fully realized my need for Christ. Unfortunately, I spent entirely too long on my knees....crawling that is...not in prayer and obedience. This written journey is more about my waiting while abiding in Him. I wait for His glorious return, my Prince on the White Horse! While I wait, abiding and still in Him, I hope to share my journey, learn from you, learn from my mistakes, and know more about Him. But most of all to learn to Be Still and Know HE is God!
It wasn't until I was 20 that I realized the importance of the daily walk with Christ, daily prayer, daily Bible reading, and maturing as a Christian. I knew Jesus; I just did not know what to do with Him.
Now, jumping ahead...I had the privilege in 2007 to go on a mission trip to Brazil. There is where my focus on being "just a branch" came to be. Our plans no matter how perfect they may seem are not our plans at all! They are His. The fruit...HIS. The way...HIS...so I must only abide in Him. I only get to show others HIS fruit, display it, if you will. HE alone is the Vine...I am only a branch. I must remain grafted in Him for His will to flow through me. I must remain in Him to know the plans.
So I will Abide in HIM. I will be the branch, His branch!
